Working at Cross-Purposes – How Distributors and Manufacturers
Can Manage Conflict Successfully
Michael
Marks, Indian River Consulting Group
|
 |
It
takes a long time to develop good distributor-supplier
relationships; unfortunately, it only takes a short time
to destroy them. Michael Marks, co-author of the new
NAW-DREF publication, Working at Cross-Purposes, How
Distributors and Manufacturers Can Manage Conflict
Successfully, will explore what really
drives distributor-supplier relationships, how often
they go bad, and why. |
Marks will help
you avoid the economic and other consequences of a core
relationship turning sour by looking for a means of correcting
emerging problems before they become critical. He will explore
the fallacy of “win-win” and provide SEDA members with
diagnostic tools to help distributors and manufacturers manage
relationships in a way that proves beneficial to both parties.
He will facilitate round table discussions with distributors and
manufacturers to help you put his guidelines into practice.
Mike Marks
co-founded the Indian River Consulting Group in April 1987. Mike
began his consulting practice after working in distribution
management for more than 20 years. He has written extensively,
and is frequently quoted on many industry issues.
Mike is
recognized for his expertise in one- and two-step distribution
channel strategies, supply chain management, and the practical
application of real world technology. In addition to consulting,
his experience includes sitting on the Boards of several public
and private distribution firms, being an expert witness, and
being an Arbitrator. |
Every Face Tells a Story
Mac Fulfer

 |
Attorney and Jury Consultant, Mac Fulfer
will teach you techniques derived from the practice of
face reading which will provide you with and an accurate
and immediate assessment tool for each person you meet
to improve your negotiating, hiring and selling
aptitude. In all of these areas, the ability to
discern another's attitude and mind-set is a skill
everyone can use. The |
art of face
reading demonstrates how the very structure of the
face reveals the thinking style of a person. Face reading can
identify the problem-solving preferences, stress level, degree
of openness, intimacy requirements and even the basic
truthfulness of a person.
Mac Fulfer
practiced law in Fort Worth, Texas for nearly 22 years after
earning his JD from the University of Texas in 1975. Initially,
he became interested in the practice of face reading for the

reading changed his perspective, allowing him to see people more
compassionately through the experiences reflected on their
faces.
Since then, he
has researched and developed these skills and presented ideas in
workshops across the country. His workshops are in great demand
from lawyers, educational institutions, Fortune 500 companies
and other venues that have an interest in understanding people.
