Distributor
To be eligible for distributor membership, a North American company must be in business for at least a year, be a safety equipment distribution company with personal safety equipment sales of $500,000 or more annually and have 60 percent of those sales falling into at least four of the following categories:

- Protective Apparel
- Ergonomics
- Eye/Face Protection
- Environmental Safety
- Emergency Showers & Eye Wash
- Industrial First Aid
- Fall Protection
- Foot Protection
- Fire Protection
- Flammable Storage & Handling
- Hand Protection
- Head Protection
- Hearing Protection
- Hazardous Material
- Instrumentation
- Other
- Respiratory Protection
- Sign Communication
Affiliate
To be eligible for affiliate membership, a company must be engaged for at least one year in the manufacturing of one or more of the dozen product lines listed above. The manufacturing company must sell these personal safety products primarily to wholesaler-distributors.
Associate
To be eligible for associate membership, a person, firm, company or corporation which is a member of the safety equipment industry trade press or which sells non-safety products or services such as computer hardware, software or insurance not for resale by the distributor, to safety equipment industry shall be eligible for Associate Membership. Companies that are suppliers of raw materials or packaging products to manufacturers are not eligible for Associate Membership.
