Argus Supply Appoints New President

Lawrence (Larry) Smith has been appointed President of Argus Supply Company, Headquartered in Chesterfield, MI. Smith has over 14 years of leadership experience in the Occupational Safety industry. Before accepting the assignment to lead Argus Supply Company, Smith served as Sales Manager of Argus Supply.  Other assignments within the Argus Group have included; Rental Manager and Vice President of ASC MasterTek (an Argus Group company), and current President of Argus LLC (also an Argus Group company).  Smith is recognized by clients and suppliers alike for his technical expertise, customer service focus, and leadership skills.

Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Oakland University, as well as a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology where he was an Honor Student.  Smith also has a Contractor’s license.  Smith has extensive Management and Sales experience and has overseen the successful startup of several Argus Group affiliates, including Argus LLC in Elmhurst, IL, ASC MasterTek’s Rental operations, and ASC MasterTek’s Scott SCBA Sales and Service offerings.  He has been responsible for running the Sales and Administrative functions within Argus Supply for several years.

Started in 1950, Argus Supply Company (a member of the Argus Group of companies) is a sales, service and consulting organization delivering Safety and Industrial Hygiene products and services in Michigan.  The Argus Group currently operates two full-service locations that can accommodate client’s sales, service, rental, training, repair and consulting needs; the Headquarters in Chesterfield, MI, and a branch location in Byron Center, MI. The Argus Group was recently recertified under ISO 9001:2000 registration – a stringent quality standards system.  Other Argus affiliated companies include Argus LLC in Elmhurst, IL and Brookfield, WI, and Argus Health & Safety in London, Ontario, Canada.
